Parade 5k Run/Walk
Benefiting the Midway Shelter
When: (annually), July 4th, 8:30 AM
Where: The race starts at 1420 Park Street in front of Lauren’s Closet
The 5K run (3.1 mile) and walk takes you through beautiful Alameda winding thru business and residential streets. This run benefits the Midway Shelter of Alameda and kicks off our historic Island Parade, the longest in the country! Runners start in the Park St Business District and end at the Webster Farmers Market location with completely closed roads and spectators beginning to line up for the Parade that follow at 10:00am.

Midway Shelter Winter Run / Walk ~ 5k, 10k and Kids Run
Benefiting the Midway Shelter
When: December 5, 2026
Where: Bay Farm Ferry Terminal, Alameda, CA
Join us for the annual Midway Shelter winter run. Event takes place at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal in Alameda on Bay Farm Island and supports a great cause.
The run will take you along the beautiful shoreline of Bay Farm Island and is a flat out and back with views of San Francisco and the Alameda Main Island. the first half is on the Harbor Bay Road with closed lanes for runners and the return is on the trails
The Kids run for 12 and under will be a 1/2 mile course. Kids run will start at 9:45am and will follow a circular loop out and back on the shoreline trail. There is plenty of parking at the Ferry terminal and we will have snacks and drinks when the race is over.
